DriveScale, the leader in delivering Composable Infrastructure to create elastic cloud infrastructure on-premises and a 2018 Cool Vendor by Gartner for Cloud Infrastructure, announced that it has achieved mutual certification with China-based big data solution and platform provider Redoop. The collaborative test demonstrates that the DriveScale Composable Platform and RedoopCRH Platform 5.0 work seamlessly, which vastly simplifies big data deployment and improves agility and flexibility.

DriveScale’s certification provides Redoop customers with a data center architecture that delivers the agility of the cloud with on-premises control and performance – ultimately saving businesses money, increasing efficiency and making their infrastructure more responsive to users’ needs. With DriveScale, IT operators can deploy independent pools of commodity compute and storage resources, and combine and recombine these resources as needed under software control to support new and changing application workloads. DriveScale provides a smarter way to build infrastructure for scale-out systems like Spark, Kafka, Hadoop and machine learning. DriveScale’s platform can coordinate between multiple levels of infrastructure, and with DriveScale, companies can more easily support Hadoop deployments of any size, as well as other modern application workloads.

“We are excited to announce the joint certification of the Redoop solution for big data analytics and Hadoop with the DriveScale Composable Platform,” said Denise Shiffman, DriveScale Chief Product Officer. “Composable Infrastructure is changing the agility and economics of Big Data deployments and DriveScale is at the forefront of this data center transformation including providing NVMe over Fabrics and persistent storage for Kubernetes native to our solution.”

Redoop is a big data platform founded in China, devoted to ensuring enterprises reap the benefits of big data technology. Revolving around Hadoop Common to ensure a corresponding distributed system, Redoop provides the underlying optimization, system management, and data management to help enterprises build their own tailored data systems. In 2016, Redoop announced its +HADOOP strategy, engaging with leading industry customers to help them leverage Hadoop big-data technologies with innovative industry use cases, and exploring opportunities in new business models and markets.

“DriveScale’s solution provides an innovative idea for Hadoop cluster resource planning and orchestration. It allows a more flexible way of storage load configuration, addressing resource imbalance issues happening everywhere. As a leading Chinese big data platform and solution provider, Redoop has conducted compatibility and performance tests of Redoop CRH platform based on DriveScale composable infrastructure. The result is very satisfying that we are able to provide a more flexible way of big data cluster building for our clients and partners, together with DriveScale.” said Mr. Xiaojun TONG, CEO of Redoop.

About DriveScale

DriveScale composable infrastructure instantly turns any data center into an elastic bare-metal cloud with on-demand instances of compute, GPU and storage, including native NVMe over Fabrics, to deliver the exact resources a workload needs, and to expand, reduce or replace resources on the fly. With DriveScale, high-performance Kubernetes and bare-metal clusters deploy in seconds for machine learning, advanced analytics and cloud-native applications at a fraction of the cost of the public cloud.
